If I asked you, “What is the center of your life?” what would you say?
Often, what we say is our core is not reflected in our deeds.
Who or what gets your attention? Who or what gets you out of bed in the morning? Are you moved by politics, a person, business, family, work, school, sports or the arts?
We have an amazing capacity at the core of who we are to believe and be moved by that attraction.
What you believe is what drives your attention.
This idea has been called “The Law of the Mind” or simply, “Whatever gets your attention gets you.”
What has your attention is usually the center of your life. It is at the core of your heart. Who or what has your attention will invite freedom or fear, faith or doubt, love or hate. Where you center your attention is the opening door of your mind to what you will attract.
Paul writes to the church at Corinth, in 1 Corinthians 6:19 20, “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Paul is drawing our attention to focus, fix and fasten our relationship on the magnificent person of God, the Holy Spirit. He is intensely and passionately longing for this truth to be vibrant in our lives.
Paul is writing about the priorities of our attention. He is dealing with overcoming principles that release breakthroughs and tear down the strongholds of darkness.
Surrender is the key to opening every door of the kingdom of God.
You are the place where God fills with the Holy Spirit, connecting heaven and earth.
The Father’s mind-blowing grace is a supernatural gift.
Your eternal relationship comes from the total surrender of your life to his miraculous love.
Jesus surrendered and died on the cross to pay for your forgiveness.
Our response to this gift is to live a life of praise in every thought and action.
Show the world good works and glorify our Father in Heaven.
Remember, you are the place of surrender to God the Father’s gracious gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in you. Breathe His life into all you do.
You are beautiful. I see Jesus in you. Have an awesome week.
