Opportunity: “A set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.”
I cannot escape this thought: The year 2020 is birthing the church’s most significant opportunity since the New Testament. This is not a time to hide, pull down the shades or run, but pray and believe for Holy Spirit boldness!
I believe we are in a Genesis moment where God is creating a hunger for transformation in the hearts around the world before exiting God’s people from this planet. In the darkness of a worldwide pandemic, God is saying “let there be light, let there be life, let there be love.”
We expect His return today and building for the next one hundred years. Still, many of us only see darkness.
Winston S. Churchill said, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
Will His followers, believers who belong to Him, have the testimony before the lost and dying world? Will our testimony be, “The Word of the living God came alive powerfully and profoundly in our lives in 2020, and He was revealed greatly within us and to all who were anywhere near us?”
His light becomes our life, and our life is revealed in His love.
His truth became our actions, and our actions reveal His transformation.
The planet is not dying because of climate change or a pandemic, but the sin of not surrendering our lives to the Savior.
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
When looking at this supernatural moment of opportunity, we must stay focused. In this season, it is easy to get seduced by voices that distract, distort and deceive.
Our focus will birth a leadership foundation of God’s love. It will release marvelous multiplication based on Holy Spirit’s revelation.
Between the message of God’s love and the momentum of His power is the messenger of Jesus Christ. One nailed blood-covered hand stretched to the past, and one nailed blood-covered hand extended to the future. His blood-covered feet with a nail pointing to the earth, and His blood-covered head praying to the heavens for forgiveness. The messenger of the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
His focus is what explodes in opportunity for this moment. His calling from the cross, resurrection and Holy Spirit empowerment keeps moving forward and multiplying His kingdom in our time.
You are beautiful; I see Jesus in you.
Have an awesome week!
