The power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives is the key to a life of His purpose and abundance. When God created the material world He said, “it is good,” and nowhere has He changed His mind.
There is an urgency for an awakening of the Holy Spirit in this moment of time to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Ps. 27:13).
At times we are reluctant to let the Holy Spirit have full dominion in our lives, but when Jesus was getting ready to ascend into heaven, He comforted His disciples with the promise of the Holy Spirit to come. In the midst of their deep grief at the thought of saying goodbye to their Savior, Jesus reminded them that the advent of the Holy Spirit was going to impact their lives to a greater extent than His own physical presence had.
He assured them, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away. For if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you” (John 16:7).
The Holy Spirit gives our lives significance and security. When we surrender ourselves to the purposes of the Holy Spirit, we have heavenly security that is manifest in our present circumstances. Even when we step out in faith not knowing what is ahead of us, we can have confidence in God because He goes before us, makes a way and tells us of things to come (John 16:13).
He not only has a plan for us but also gives us power to handle whatever it is that we will face. When we are built up in the Spirit from spending time in His Word and praying in other tongues, we have access to a new avenue of strength, a strength that can only come from the might of the Holy Spirit. Whether you are a pastor, a salesman, a missionary or a doctor, there is divine strength available to you from heaven.
When we commit our lives to the direction of the Holy Spirit and build ourselves up not on our own knowledge or abilities but on His strength, it creates an open door to His love. We can freely access God’s heart because we feel no condemnation or fear, and from that we experience His compassionate and comforting nature. God’s love is not something we experience selfishly but something that we were meant to encounter and then share with others.
When we rely on the Holy Spirit and let Him take control, that is when our lives, our ministries and others will be changed forever.
You’re beautiful. I see Jesus in you.
Have a great week!
